Large-scale tree lighting for councils, business associations, commercial property and private homes. Installed once, using low voltage lights that keep going year after year.
The big problem with trees is that the lights blow
Most lighting sold for trees was never built to live outdoors through a New Zealand winter. It takes on water, it fails, and someone has to go back up a ladder to find out which run has gone. It is the reason so many tree displays look tired within a season.
We use a low voltage product that lasts
Our installations run on 24 volts rather than 230. They do not blow the way high voltage lights do, and they stand up to weather. We have customers whose trees have been lit for six years and are still going.
What to expect as the tree grows
Trees grow, and the lights will most likely need loosening off as they do. That is normal, and we will tell you what is involved when we quote, so there are no surprises later.
What you will not get is an annual re-run, or a scramble to fix a dead display in the middle of December.

From a single specimen tree to a full precinct, we handle the design, the installation and the gear.

You installed those lights six years ago, and they are still going strong. No problems. We turn the lights on most nights as we pour a wine, and we have had many positive comments from neighbours and passers-by. I think it was the best money we ever spent.Nick and Sally Duggan, Forrest Hill

Twenty years of doing this properly
We bring twenty years of experience to lighting New Zealand spaces, and have been trading as The Fairy Light Shop since 2010. We are specialists, not a general contractor adding lights to a list of services, and we tailor every installation to the site and the look you are after.
No fuss and no stress. We turn up, we light it, and it stays lit.
